About
The Housing crisis has come home.
In northern Arizona, our high housing costs are having an impact on families and individuals as the cost of housing far exceeds what low- and moderate-income households can afford. Median home price for a single-family home in Flagstaff was $435,000 in 2019. Average rental rates have consistently gone up over the past five years. Now, an average 2-bedroom apartments costs nearly $1,500/mo. The creation of decent, affordable housing is a community-wide issue and we all are part of the solution. We believe everyone deserves to have a place to call home.
How you can help.
By creating affordable housing opportunities, your donation to the Northern Arizona Housing Fund will support local nonprofit housing organizations and can help low-income families, our local workforce and individuals experiencing homelessness to secure decent and affordable housing, supporting economic development and social justice goals for our community.
Buyers and Sellers in Coconino County can conveniently support the Northern Arizona Housing Fund by making a donation when they buy or sell their home(s). The donation can be collected at closing and could be eligible for a match. Ask your title company, Realtor or lender if they are participating in the program and how you can help!
